The Story of Aria

The Very Beginning...
Aria Branwen was born the youngest daughter of her family in the Azim Steppe. While her father was just a butcher who sold his wares in the Reunion, the culture of fighting influenced Aria from a very young age. The young girl found confidence in her strength and agility, and enjoyed sparring whenever she could. But her favorite thing to do, was to be around her older brother Corvin Branwen, or "Co Co" as she affectionately called him. Aria was always impressed by her older brother. He was strong, capable, and always effortlessly cool. Co Co was her role model. Her fondest memories were always of the two of them going out of the Reunion to hunt. But things changed when Garlean Empire attacked Doma. Corvin left, finding a need to protect his home. But Aria stayed behind initially, to watch over her family. Besides, her brother was one of the strongest fighters she ever witnessed, surely he would help secure victory. But as time went on, there was no word from Corvin. Then when it was told that Doma lost, Aria couldn't help but feel fear that her brother didn't emerge victorious. So leaving behind a note to their parents, Aria left the only place she has ever known. As she searched, their was some hope. For she believed her brother could not be dead, for his spirit and power was too strong. She followed a trial of information best she could but it only lead vaguely to Eorzea. So through lots of traveling, the young Au Ra found herself in a cart heading to a city in the desert.
The Adventure Begins...
Her mission was simple: become well know enough that her brother may find a way to her or for her to find a way back to her brother. This simplest way to do that was to do as many jobs as possible and to become friends with lots of people as well. Soon enough, her acts of kindness caught the eye of the Scions which lead her reputation to grow even more. But as time went on the Scions realized while she had good intentions, Aria was also very brash and reckless. So she was then paired with Laila Mihata, a Raen girl with an innate ability to heal. Instantly the girls hit it off, Laila teaching Aria how to be more disciplined and Aria teaching Laila how to live life to the fullest. But the two traveled together, facing trail and tribulation, joy and sorrow, and whatever else the world threw at them. However, even with her life full of many dear friends and excitement, she missed her family. Aria was especially disheartened at not being able to find the brother she loved so much, despite her attempts. But as fate would have it her goal would be fulfilled. When the aide for Doman Liberation called again, Aria had the opportunity to go back home. And on the boat to first travel to Kugane there was her brother, Corvin Branwen. Aria rushed and tackled her older brother, while tearfully saying "I found you!"
Where Our Story is Now...
Now she is trying to support her brother in his latest adventure: starting an empire. Her time is now spent sitting through ettiquete lessons, practicing court customs, and preparing for whatever comes.

Family and Friends

Corvin Branwen
Ever since she was little Aria wanted to be just like her big brother. He always seemed to do things right and that he was destined for big things. She likes to tag along with him on dungeons, and get piggy back rides. If her brother asks her to do something, she will do it normally no questions asked because she trusts his judgement.

Laila Mihata
Aria and Laila were paired by the Scions and have been inseparable ever since. Learning of Laila's background and Laila being mainly a healer, caused Aria to develop and older sister mentality. She wants to show Laila how to live life to the fullest, while protecting her from bad things.

Katona Park
Aria quickly became friends with Katona when they first met. Katona typically takes on an advisory role to her. If Katona has a smarter way of causing mischief, Aria will listen. Aria will also be her guinea pig whenever Kat test's new potions.

Lyric Verandis
Aria feels a bit of kinship with Lyric, because both of them have weird older brothers. But, just as she is with Laila, Aria will bring Lyric with her whenever she is out to expose more of the world to him and teach him about life.

Lucien Verandis
Aria isn't usually sure what to think of her fellow Free Company member. Because of how he behaves and talks, she feels uneasy. But this doesn't stop her from taking his suggestions of mischief or, if he has the proper bribe, doing a small favor.
